Yellow Brick Road

Let the innocence stay pristine like you are still a newborn”

In my previous post, I promised that we’ll take a trip down the yellow brick road. Some time away from the jargons of life. Away from the traffic, and away from the lights. Just the two of us! It’s a yellow brick road of your life and in the end we’ll reach the beginning. So, come here hold my hand if you want to or follow me.
“Do you think Oz could give me courage?”

It’s winter time, you are still in your teens. You listen to whatever you want to listen to and do whatever you feel like. Forget about the world you don’t even care what your close friends think. Living in your own world, the future doesn’t matter and the past is non-existent. What really matters is the moment you are living in, what really matters is now!
You live by your own terms, you take life as if it’s something to play with, of course you’ve made mistakes but you learned valuable lessons. Lessons that would define your whole life, but where’s that carefree attitude now? Where’s the spirit to conquer the world and not care what anyone thinks?

“Do you think Oz could give me brains?”
It’s springtime, you are just 7 years old, looking at things with such wonder, lost in unprecedented worlds with your imaginary friends. So many treasures in your mind. You are so creative and you don’t even realize it, coloring those blank walls till the crayons fade in your hands, and you don’t even mind being caught with red hands. Talking to yourself because, you are your own consultant. You just learned how to spell words and you ask questions that leave grown-ups perplexed. Taking steps without the slightest bit of care, you stand on windowpanes and look out as if an explorer is looking for a new land from his ship. You dare explore and more importantly, you dare to run your imagination wild. Where’s that imagination now? Why are you so afraid to dream anymore? Wasn’t it a magical time when you could dream freely and walk freely?
“Do you think Oz could give me a heart?”
It’s summertime, it’s the beginning of new things, new seeds of dreams have to be cultivated on the land of hope. The wind shakes the barley and the wind chimes, their sweet songs fill the air. And somewhere in the galaxy a star is born. You are so small but so full of life. You blink your eyes and see things no one can imagine. You smile to things beyond anyone’s understanding. All the wisdom in the world can’t fathom your abilities, the endless possibilities of your imagination, of your desires, of your capabilities. You are like a small island in the center of a huge ocean of promises. So free yet so innocent!
"Do you think Oz could send me back home?”
Who’s oz? Sometimes he’s just a voice in the back of your head which pushes you towards your goal. The freedom of choice is yours, whether you listen to it or hush it down. Let the innocence, courage and choices of heart stay pristine like you are still a newborn.
There aren’t a lot of things left in this world to fight for, but do fight for your inner child’s custody from this grown-up world.
Don’t deny yourself the things you deserve, don’t deny yourself to dream and more imprtantly don't be afraid to walk on this yellow brick road again and rediscover yourself!
